Boonesdonny continues...
Another frame in the epic story of a boy in search of money from the gullible...
What a fun way to parody & satire BioD!
I should've thought of this years ago!!

Vini,
Do you find anything good that comes out of farming using Biodyanmic pratices? I have worked for a winery farming this way for quite a few years and have seem vast improvement in the grapes and wine.
My I also ask what your background is in the wine business
Thank, I look forward to keeping the discussion going
Cheers
"Interested" -
I feel that the underlying tenets of BioD (which are ORGANIC FARMING in nature and method) are indeed important AND effective...
That being said, the other myriad trappings of "cosmic forces", "peppering", or the absolute bullshit nonsense of Steiner's ramblings are a worthless diversion of time, money and energy (see below for just ONE example)...
By the way, have you ever read Steiner?
Take a look, the man was seriously whacked out...
The amount of dogma he uses and the fact that he didn't bother to try to link it logically together (perhaps he couldn't) makes it so open to speculation that ANY person can claim to have a unique perspective on the teachings, and then claim to be a "consultant"...apparently w/o worry of ever being found out otherwise.
My background is varied, and spans 3+ decades in the industry. Sometimes as grower, sometimes producer, sometimes marketer, sometimes as consultant...and I've seen quite a few fads come and go...
Good luck with your crop, but do yourself a favor & rely on the organic portion of the regimen, not the cosmic-love-child psychobabble that goes with it...

(e.g., from above: "For if you have apricots or plums with a fine taste - this taste, just like the colour[sic] of the flowers, is the cosmic quality which has been carried upward, right into the fruit. In the apple you are eating Jupiter, in the plum you are actually eating Saturn." , Ag. Course, pg 38, George Adams trans, published by Rudolph Steiner Press, 2004...notice his lack of metaphor, he really believed it was this way! Now that's "whacked"...)
